Stem area trimmed and ready for
outer stem
Tape holds bent outer stem piece in

Just a bit of shaping and sanding to
shape the outer stem
Creative clamping closeup.
Creative clamping is also required to
fit the strips properly.
Stripping to keel line is a laborious
task since each strip must be cut to fit
each end AND be the correct length.

Trimming ends  for a good fit is time
consuming and sometimes frustrating.
Stripping begins  Staples were used
only along the stem.  Clamps hold
strips in place until dry.  Three strips
were added at one time.
Around the chine, it became more
difficult to fit strips.  Once the stips met
behind stem, stripping continued only
on one side.

the number of tools and clamps used
during building.
